When I last wrote I was in Alabama but today I’m in Michigan. As I mentioned last post, it is a genuine pleasure to live in and appreciate 2 states especially when they are Alabama and Michigan. Both states are quite beautiful geographically and both states are home to warm and welcoming people AND Quilt Shops!! I arrived to the Ann Arbor/Dexter, Michigan area recently and I have ‘fabric fever’.
My desire is not for any specific fabric just some soft, vibrant and inspiring fabric that calls my name. Even when I’m not looking for fabric or a new project, one or both always find me. I will be traveling to my favorite quilt shop soon. I know I will have a great day through fabric and fellowship when I visit Jennifer’s Quilt Shop in Pinckney, Michigan.
It is the quintessential charming quilt shop that lives in our imagination and Jennifer is simply the perfect shop owner. I love the fellowship each and every time I visit. Time flies, conversation flows, and creativity abounds. Your next visit to Michigan should include Jennifer’s but I must caution you and offer a few suggestions about the best route to take when driving to Pinckney. I strongly suggest traveling through Dexter, Michigan. Dexter is a great small town that has a wonderful downtown and good local restaurants not to mention the oldest Cider Mill in Michigan!
Once you have explored Dexter, it’s time to motor on to Jennifer’s in Pinckney. Take the Dexter/Pinckney Road traveling North. As you draw nearer to Pinckney there are two directional signs to assist you.
